Robotics Technology
For a Better Future

When it comes to robotics, it is without a doubt that we human beings are rapidly advancing when it comes to developments and improvements made. From simple and basic machines, we have already started to make more advanced robots, some even already who start to look like human beings and even do human being tasks and functions. However, there are more robots which are currently being built and even designed. Some of these robots are continuously being improved and even developed in order to maximize its potential and even functionality. Among these robots is the SCARA. It has been one of the most improved robots in our time now.

The SCARA is a Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Actuator. This improved version of an articulated robot has multiple rotation because it has three vertical axes, comparing to the standard versions which only has a single axis. This type of robot is one of the few robots which could actually tolerate a few inaccuracies and it works on a surface which is flat. It easily adjusts to things that could go wrong during its work process, making it one of the improved robots in the robotics industry. This is a great innovation for the robotics industry because it allows the robot to be able to maximize its processes and performing functionalities.

This type of robot is formed with a waist, shoulder, elbow, wrist for it to have the capability to be able to roll, pitch and even yaw (one for each function). However, with its multiple capabilities, of course each robot would not be able to perform completely as it was designed to. It also has limitations which gives the robot a few negative ratings. It can only be able to move vertically and it wcould be allowed to raise and even lower the end effector of which where the work is done. Even though this may be a limitation, it still performs better than non-SCARA robots and its benefits and functionalities are far more superior compared to other robots not of its kind.

With the continuing advances made with regards to technology and the robotics industry, robots like these would be more advanced compared to robots which were invented and innovated before. However, we still have a long way to go when it comes to perfecting these robots. We still have to limit the limitations experienced per robot so that we would be able to maximize its functionalities and capabilities.
